National Entrance cum Eligibility Test is a medical entrance examination in India. It is an all-India examination led by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
The NEET exam is given by students who wish to study any graduate or postgraduate medical course in government or private medical colleges in India.
NEET is important because it helps in assessing the ability of students to pursue a career in medicine. The test also eliminates any disparity among different states with respect to admission into undergraduate medical courses.
The syllabus for NEET is based on the National Curriculum Framework 2005. The test covers all the subjects taught in Class 12th or equivalent.
NEET can be attempted in 13 Languages - English, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi and Telugu.
Candidates preparing for NEET 2023 should first be familiar with the exam pattern and syllabus. After that, they need to shortlist the books to refer to for NEET 2023 preparation.
