The college hosts an annual cultural festival called Mithibai Kshitij. Each year, more than 500 institutions are invited to this 4-day festival. Events are held at various SVKM venues and include competitions, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, amateur, and professional shows.
With its three pillars of Seva, Sadbhavana, and Satkarma, the National Service Scheme works on social projects, supports the downtrodden and disaster-stricken, and instills moral ideals in its participants.
For 12 years running, the college won the Guru Nanak General Championship Trophy at the University of Mumbai. Numerous Mithibai athletes have competed for the school, the state, and even the nation.
Mithibai College of Arts in Mumbai is ranked 12 out of 115 colleges in India for the arts by Outlook, compared to 12 out of 120 in 2021.
