CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam for admission to 22 national law universities and more than 70 affiliated colleges. The exam is conducted by the (NLUs ) in offline, pen and paper format. Candidates who pass the examination will be eligible for admission to 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes
– To be eligible for CLAT 2024, applicants must have passed class 12th from a recognised board with at-least 45% marks. – There is no age limit for appearing in UG CLAT.
– To be eligible for CLAT PG 2024 candidates must have completed their LLB degree (5-year or 3-year LLB) from a university recognised by the BCI. – There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2024 for LLM progrmame.
The consortium releases the application form for CLAT on its official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates need to submit their personal information, communication and educational details, preference of NLU, and other factors while registering for CLAT 2024
Clat exam is held in pen paper mode for 2 hours. There are 120 MCQ questions carrying 1 marks each for the correct answer and - 0.25 for the wrong answer. The language of the test is English.
CLAT preparation strategy should ideally include study plan for covering all important areas of the exam syllabus. It is essential to pay attention to all sections, as each has a significant weightage in the total score.
