Fashion designing is a course that is high in demand. There are 686 Fashion Designing colleges in India, among which 537 are private and 133 are government Fashion Designing colleges in India.
NIFT has two written tests named GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.
– Candidates are short listed based on their result in the written test for situation test/interview. – B.Des candidates will have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. – The only exception is B.F.Tech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.
The GAT paper for NEET is conducted online while the CAT paper is conducted offline.
In all the 18 combined NIFTS of India which are located in different cities. The total number of available seats for admissions are 5,215.
The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) will conduct the WRITTEN exams for NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of February 2024.
