Common Admission Test or CAT is a national-level management aptitude test that the IIM conducts for admission to the MBA courses offered by its 20 campuses and over 1,200 B-schools in India.
The entrance exam fee is INR 2,300 for General category candidates. There has been a fee hike of INR 100 compared to last year.
The entrance exam fee is INR 1,150 for reserved category candidates. There has been a fee hike of INR 50 compared to last year.
CAT Registrations
CAT 2023 registration will commence in the first week of August and conclude in the third week of September 2023. Candidates will have to register at the iimcat.ac.in website to fill the online application form. Then, pay the application fee via credit/debit card or net banking.
Which Documents Are Required For Registration?
Some of the documents required are a recent passport-size photo (colour against a white background), a scanned signature with black pen on white paper, a photo ids card like a PAN card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport, class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet, graduation mark sheet, and a permanent address proof.
Those planning to pursue MBA in the 2024 academic session must appear for the CAT exam, as it is an exam accepted by most government and private MBA colleges in India.
