A student to practice as a general surgeon should get excellent scores in grade 12, clear NEET UG, successfully complete MBBS, clear NEET PG and pursue MS.

A student must have passed the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) with at least one year of the internship experience. Admissions to the course are based on entrance exams like A.I.I.M.S. and NEET.
