The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced the Direct Entry Scheme, allowing students to pursue a CA career after graduation without taking the Common Proficiency Test (CPT).
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in three commerce papers (e.g., Accounting, Auditing, Economics). - Minimum 60% aggregate marks for commerce graduates. - Final year graduation students can also apply.
The CA Final Exam consists of two groups, each containing multiple papers. Some of the subjects include Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Advanced Auditing, Corporate and Economics Law, Cost Management, and Elective Papers like Risk Management, Financial Services, and more.
To enroll in the CA Foundation Course, visit the ICAI website, access the "Course Registration Forms" in the "Students" section, complete the form with personal and educational details, upload necessary documents, make an online payment for the registration fee, and submit the application form
Once your application is accepted, you'll receive a registration confirmation with a unique number. You can then prepare for the CA Foundation Exam, held biannually in May and November.
The Direct Entry Scheme offers a convenient path for graduates to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy (CA) without the need for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT).
