The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is a multiple-choice, computer-based, standardised exam that is an important admission requirement to graduate schools or business schools globally.
Conducted by ETS, the GRE test or the GRE General test is one of the world’s largest assessment programmes for graduate admissions to business or law schools. It is accepted by thousands of universities and colleges worldwide.
Through the GRE General Test, a candidate is evaluated on his analytical writing, quantitative ability, and verbal reasoning skills. The GRE Subject Test evaluates the candidates’ ability in a particular subject. Candidates should note that the GRE Subject Tests only extend to Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology.
Being one of the most commonly accepted exams by universities for admission to graduate programmes, students looking to pursue MS courses, MBA courses, professional degree programmes or opting for thesis work are required to appear for the GRE General Test as part of the university admission process.
There is confusion over the right time to appear for the GRE Exam. Candidates should note that the GRE at Home and the GRE test conducted at test centres are available throughout the year.
The GRE exam preparation is not that easy, but it is definitely pursuable. Once you have covered all the concepts and plan the GRE study, you can have a higher chance to score good marks.
