Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the 2023 PUBDET. Candidates are only eligible to apply if he/she meets the criteria met.
The candidate must be a citizen of India. And as for the age limit, there is no upper or lower age limit.
Candidates should have cleared higher secondary examination (XII) that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or equivalent exam, not before 2020. The candidate must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science. The aggregate is to be calculated in the best four recognized subjects.
Minimum Aggregate Score
Apart from the above, in their qualifying exam in Class 12, candidates should have secured minimum aggregate score in various subjects. For example, 70 in Physics, Economics, 60 in Philosophy, etc (The above mentioned cutoffs are for General category students)
Further, to secure admission in respective courses, candidates should also fulfil the academic criteria for admission. For example, the candidate may apply from Arts / Science stream at 10+2 level. The candidate must have English as one subject with 65% marks in English-A (WBHS) or 75% in English.
The selected candidates whose names appear on the merit list must appear in the Presidency University 2023 counselling. To complete the document verification process and claim their admissions, they must attend the Presidency University 2023 counselling schedule.
