Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BS-MS dual degree programme offered by them.
While IISER Aptitude Test is the gateway to admission for integrated programme in Science, JEE and NEET are entrance exams for Engineering and Medical courses. Hence, the difficulty level of IAT is lower than that of JEE and NEET.
IISER entrance exam i.e. IISER Aptitude Test 2023 (IAT) will be conducted on June 17, 2023.
IAT will consist of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Total time for answering the test will be 180 minutes.
The application fee for IISER Aptitude exam is Rs.2,000 for General/ EWS/ OBC-NCL students and Rs.1,000 for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Kashmiri migrants students. The application fee for foreign nationals is Rs. 8,500/-.
Candidates securing a rank within 15,000 in JEE Advanced are eligible for admission in IISER. Candidates are not eligible for admission in IISER through JEE Main only.
