DEAR FATHER

A little bird came and perched on a branch

And as she smiled against an ebony silhouette,  Gifts of kindness breezed onto a glance

To where the time and happiness met.

You took your hands and nurtured her with care

As your smiled along your way,

With snippets that poured a fervent prayer

Like sunbeams that illuminated her way.

The little bird kept singing her favourite hymn

And leaned onto the soft bark,

Before the evening sky grew dim

She took a flight into the dark.

Yet, the next day she flew back again

And perched on the highest crown,

Chasing down a memory lane

To always see you around.

Happy Father’s Day to my lovely papa Mr. Vinod kumar Sidhu forever in our hearts.

There are many unspoken things I want to tell you, there were many things yet to learn from you, And promise me to get enough time and meet someday, somewhere, in some other world, in other parallel universe, in some other life or in heaven.

Your darling daughter

Aditi Sidhu

FROM AFAR – ODE TO MY FATHER

On this day, I celebrate a man so dear,

A man with a charisma of a hundred stars shining through,

With love and care, he touched every heart,

My precious father, this ode is for you.

A lionheart, in this age of simps and cowards you stood apart,

The manliest of man, in the face of tribulations you stood tall,

A towering beacon of stoic strength,

Who lifted me up whenever I would fall.

We disagreed, our thoughts would often clash,

Yet in your heart, my best interests did dwell,

You celebrated my wins, both small and brash,

And lifted me from the depths where I fell.

A lover of poetry, you opened the door,

Introducing Frost, Keats, and Wordsworth’s verse,

Though I resisted, you persisted more,

And now, their words in my soul immerse.

You wrote in Hindi, verses that would bleed,

Touching the depths of every reader’s core,

I wondered why you never chose to heed,

English’s call, but you had reasons more.

You believed that expressing in one’s tongue,

With heartfelt emotions, pure and sincere,

Makes poetry authentic, truly sung,

Thus in Hindi’s embrace, your words would appear.

Languages flowed through you like a steady stream,

English, Dzongkha, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi’s grace,

Weaving fragments, as if in a dream,

A master of tongues, a linguist’s trace.

Heavy Metal filled my musical stride,

While you adored Ghazals, Mukesh and Kishore’s rhymes,

And thus music united us, despite our divide,

So what if palletes differed, thats just fine.

Raaj Kumar, your adored actor on the screen,

Your spirits kindred, like lion’s noble breed,

Cricket, a passion that fueled your dream,

From legends past to new stars’ daring deed.

You shared stories of triumphs gone by,

The ’83 World Cup, tales of glory untold,

Of Amarnath’s heroics and Kapil Dev’s high,

A bond through cricket, forever to hold.

But on that cursed April morn, fate dealt its heavy blow,

Your physical presence slipped beyond my reach,

No more laughter or counsel to convey,

No more the godly affection, no wise words to preach.

My world torn asunder, vibrant hues swallowed by gray,

As you quietly departed without a sign,

No more laughter or counsel to convey,

A haunting void, nature’s cruel design.

Yet precious dad, your spirit still does glow, as memories endure,

Your words and wisdom, a flame in my heart,

I shall honour your legacy, keep it pure,

Your dreams shall live through me, never to depart.

In these words, I find solace,

‘When forgotten, is the time a man truly dies’,

I’ll ensure your memory is a cherished embrace,

In me, your spirit shall forever reside.

And thus, on this day, I say,

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy, till we meet again,

I’ll carry your love, guiding my way,

Your blessings shining bright, through all my suns and rains.

For now, accept my wishes from afar,

Till our souls meet again in realms unknown,

Your love and blessings would guide me like a shinning star,

In this dead of night you will never leave me alone.

For when we remember those we hold dear,

Their spirits shine bright, forever alive,

I’ll keep your flame ablaze, crystal clear,

With every breath, your memory will thrive.

Farewell, for now, oh dearest father mine,

Until we meet again, beyond the sky,

I shall remember your love, the most sacred sign,

And in my heart your spirit shall roar, free and alive.

Father’s Day is a cherished occasion dedicated to honoring paternal bonds and celebrating the profound influence fathers have in our lives. It’s a day to express gratitude for their love, guidance, and unwavering support. Each year, families come together to pay tribute to fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have played pivotal roles.

To me my father is a winner. He is a struggler. I want to follow his rules , his dedication and his winning strategy. I want to feel proud him because of mine. He achieves fame doing too much struggle. My father always motivates me, encourages me, sometimes he knows my wishes my undone problems. He understands why I cry, and the hidden reasons behind my crying.Every father is a superhero to his children

The essence of Father’s Day lies in its ability to highlight the uniqueness of paternal relationships. It’s a time to reflect on shared memories, lessons learned, and the values passed down through generations. From heartfelt conversations to playful moments, fathers enrich our lives in countless ways.

Blessings abound on Father’s Day, expressed through thoughtful gestures, heartfelt messages, and acts of kindness. Whether it’s a simple “thank you” or a grand celebration, the day is a reminder of the enduring bond between fathers and their loved ones. It’s an opportunity to celebrate fatherhood’s joys, challenges, and the profound impact fathers have on shaping our identities and futures.

I want to convey my regards to my father that always stay healthy, stay calm, and stay focused on your goal. Stay cool minded like as usual you are. Always be a problem solver person. Stay always besides me as you are with me. I want to learn from you that how to keep calm and focused. First of all I will be a boss or owner of my set up like yours. Always Keep Shining and keep establishing yourself like an Autumnal SKY.

Not everyone is lucky to receive the love of Father.

I was 8days when I lost him, he didn’t saw me nor I did, but still his absence makes a very big difference in my life. When you need father’s love and care, and in that phase of life everything turns colourless.

Ruk si gai thi zindagi, sab kuch badal sa gaya tha, apke jane se papa, yeh dil marr sa gaya tha.

But I am the luckiest person, as I have the most amazing Mother. A person who knows each and everything even if I don’t express it.

I know that father’s love is important but you are lucky when you receive both MOTHER’S and FATHER’S love from one human being.

I love you MAA and PAPA

THANK YOU MUMMY FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID FOR US. WE ARE GREATFUL THAT YOU ARE WITH US

Apke kadmo ki aahat se jaan jaate hai apko, Maa hum apki parchai banna chahte hai, apki muskurahat ke liye jeete hai, jo ho gar aansu hum bhi rone lagte hai.
