A famous acronym the doll’s house was rightly given. A girl not just marries a man, she marries his whole family but a man marries just a girl. Why only a girl is overburdened with relations and a responsibility of whole clan of his husband. When it comes to serving the parents why it’s just a girl who needs to take care of her in laws and not the man. Why there is lack of one eye one rule in this case. If a wife can look after and build a bond with her husband’s family why not the husband. Why they always remain a “damad” , who needs service, hospitality in evey visit. A husband is treated as a king in his in-laws house but why not a wife. In a case, where I have observed that girl was dedicatedly serving her in laws, fulfilled all the responsibilities of a bahu , a bhabhi, a chachi , a mami, but when it was her to take that love back, she was denied of that love…her husband’s stated that he was not at all interested her your people. I mean how rude it could be?…
