Top Thriller Indian Web Series That I Had Binge Watched

Asur

Asur is a mythological thriller with an outstanding cast who made the series a massive success. The series is a mixture of mythology and the digital modern world. The plot is mind-blowing and I promise you will binge watch it. Every episode has its own excitement. The story is about a killer, who influences people through his mythology and aims to gain control over the world. His killings are a mystery and the CBI does everything with the help of a forensic team to solve the case. I loved each and every character of the series. Hats off to the director for creating such an intelligent web series.

Duranga

Duranga is another thriller series. It’s about a psychopath serial killer (Bala Bane) who kills women in the village of sarangwadi. He dies and then after 17 years, the same type of murders start happening. The doubt goes to the son (Abhishek Bane) of the psychopath killer who had died 17 years ago. The wife of Abhishek Bane is a police inspector who works on this case. Watch Duranga to know the real killer. The web series was absolutely fantastic. With thriller and suspense it shows emotions and the importance of bonds.

The Family Man

Family Man is about a man named Shrikant who works as an agent in an organization that works for the nation’s security. The series reflects different bonds like friendship, husband-wife relationship, bond between siblings, parents and kids. Each episode is a thrill of curiosity. It showed real life incidents and how these small incidents pricked a huge act of violence. My favorite character was Shrikant and one thing I liked about him was how he handled aggressive people with the power of storytelling.

Paatal Lok

Paatal Lok as the name suggests gets the viewer to a world which is filled with violent things. It’s about a case where 4 people are suspected to attempt a murder on a well known journalist. With a lead actor like Jaideep Ahlawat, the series touches the viewer’s heart. What I personally loved about the series was the depth built in the characters. Every criminal had a background story and after understanding the story it became difficult to justify their actions. The series showed the reality of politics, investigation and crimes.

Kaala Pani

Let me start off by clarifying that Kaala Pani is not about the ‘Kaala Pani’ jail. The name of the series is used as a metaphor for the water that leads to a death taking disease. It is set in 2027 where many tourists visit Andaman Nicobar for a holiday. Then the disease starts spreading and Andaman Island is in lockdown. The series showed the tribe ‘Orakas’ who are endangered. It shows a connection between the people and tribe. Every solution shown at each stage of the story comes with a problem. The characters face dilemmas to figure out their survival. I would end with a quote the series reflects: Survival of the fittest
