Placating Allies.

Bhartiya Janta Party would like to placate its allies in Bihar by taking everyone on board allocating seats on the basis of their previous electoral performance in the last assembly elections. Contesting on seventeen and offering six to Chirag Paswan it is keen to get past its tally in 2019 when it won thirty nine of forty parliamentary constituencies in Bihar. After Nitish babu jumped the ship a few months ago, BJP would make every effort to carry forward the governance template which has been sushaasan babu’s hallmark. However, there is a relative unease in the NDA over smaller leaders like Manjhi, Kushwaha and Mukesh Sahani raising the banner of revolt over not getting the desired seats as this could dent the prospects and possibilities of NDA in Bihar as every other outfit from JDU to LJP all wanting to checkmate each other. Referring these elections as an endorsement to Modi’s popularity as an exemplary leader, BJP seems eager to arrest the tide given the frictions and fissures between different sets of leaders openly ridiculing and mocking each other. Accomodating everyone along is a mammoth task for Bhartiya Janta Party in a state where everyone is staring at their share of pie wanting to grab whatever they could by clinching the deal in their interest. It is yet to be seen how it will progress from here and if Nitish has the same charisma and legitimacy which he had earlier or has become a spent force shuffling allies from BJP to RJD and vice versa. Irrespective of the outcome spotlight will be on Nitish babu for him to take mettle forward as BJP is more likely to play a dominant partner denying any space to sushaasan babu for going above his weight. Game is only arousing and sparking a great amount of interest on who would like to come in the lead role.
