While India has started raising voice against the cruel marital rapes occuring with a lot of women in India and their voices being unheard, we are ignoring thousands of men who are somehow facing the same.
Marital rape refers to any sort of consent less / forced sexual interaction after marriage which actually makes it no way less offensive, Besides any sort of gender biasness marital rape is a big social problem but when this boat reaches the shore of male victims crossing indeed a dark sea of female stories we tend to ignore them, we have never tried understanding the concept of male consent putting them in a position where them standing as a marital rape victim will get them a tag of “impotent”.
I myself have grown up watching bollywood movies and almost of these movies ignored the concept of male consent and got us a perception that men are supposed to make the first move because they are either desperate enough or are “always ready” and when male victims actually try raising their voice they are called off Or laughed upon.
