Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has catapulted the scion of Nehru and Gandhi family Rahul Gandhi to a centre stage tremendously benefitting from this piece of exercise bringing back Congress in the game. However, its effects is yet to be seen for an organisation that is somewhat relatively stable but for oiling the organisational muscle and machinery and for instilling a spark in the rank and cadre of grand old party there is a need for a scheme and strategy aiding party in bouncing back by regaining the lost ground. INDIA alliance was one such method where the grand old party largely looks successful in bringing the like minded platforms on a common platform for issues and concerns that matter to the common and ordinary. Personally supervising it, Rahul Gandhi has taken the mettle on himself connecting and conducting different constituencies across the length and breadth of the country sounding honest with his actions and attempts. In a bid to better it’s tally and performance they are taking no shortcuts or attacking the cult or halo around Narendra Modi instead countering the rhetoric and populism of pradhan sewak which they know can definitely pave the path for them. Certainly, by now Rahul Gandhi has had enough of clarity by treading cautiously graciously taking one at a time bypassing the glitches and creezes decently taking along the allies together. Congress, can’t afford to commit blunder as they did during 2014 and 2019 which had taken the contest far away from them. 2024 is way different as finally this party has mustered the courage and conviction to counter and not holding its horses back unlike what has been its chief characteristic feature till now. From negotiations to building consensus for alliances, Congress has acted as a matured political formation overcoming initial hiccups and hesitation it is to be seen if it can reap dividends out of it. Obviously, Rahul Gandhi has taken the onus on himself for reviving and resurrecting the grand old party tilting the balance in its favour striking against a sense of romanticism and entitlement that has with time has only faded. Early they realise better it would for them !
