Congress Stalwart Kamal Nath May Switch Sides To BJP

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and Congress stalwart Kamal Nath may switch sides to BJP  reportedly being upset denied a Rajyasabha berth by his parent party. A sankat mochak for his party when it narrowly a thin majority of hundred and fourteen seats in 2018 assembly seats against BJPs hundred and nine holding chiefministership acting as a crisis manager and trouble shooter for his party he has always stood out for the party in the best of his capacity and caliber.

Fostering a tie with Gandhi,s when Sanjay Gandhi was at the peak, Kamalnath has been central to grand old party’ s scheme of affairs and things never fading from the scene discharging his duties by being a loyal and obedient lieutenant. However, after Jyotiraditya Rao Scindia jumped over to BJP in March 2020 by staging a rebellion the party has instilled great trust and faith in Kamalnath that he would perfectly take the party along towards a thumping and resounding victory of December 2023 assembly elections as the party under his leadership literally struggle to a respectable total coming crashing down from hundred and fourteen seats to sixty six with BJP enhancing its taly from hundred and nine to hundred and sixty five as Kamalnath,s magic completely backfired for the grand old party.

Plenty of reasons have been attributed for Congress’s drubbing in Madhya Pradesh beginning from a visible feud between the factions of Kamalnath and Digvijaya Singh both political heavyweights in state,s politics to the absence of party,s organisational muscle marring all it’s prospects leaving it largely to fend for itself. Kamalnath who has been with Congress for forty four years has had many firsts in politics from a cabinet berth in UPA 1 and UPA 2 to Congress election incharge in Madhya Pradesh he achieved a lot to his credit for which he should acknowledge the high command rather than openly mocking the party’ s composition and structure.

He may have compulsions ranging from his son’s political graph and career to his own unfulfilled personal ambitions but hitting below the belt is something which isn’t advisable in politics. Maratha strongman Ashok Chavan too walked into BJP by being well in his limits of targeting and tarnishing his former party something which most of today’s politicians totally lack by all stretch and standards. Its neither going to make BJP strong and Congress weak at best exposing these thick skinned netas leveraging their position by making the best bargains whenever and wherever possible.!
