Farmers In Top Gear As National Capital Borders Are Fortified

Various farm unions across Western Uttar Pradesh and Punjab have once again upped the ante against the centre for mot fulfilling their various demands raised by them a few years ago. Instead, complaining of the government being non commital, non compliant and high handed in meeting their legitimate concerns they have once again raised the banner of their revolt high.

Borders of the national capital have been completely fortified, concretized and fenced from all sides fear a repeat of January 26th 2021 when they had reached en masse going past whatever came their way ruthlessly and mercilessly venting their ire against a government which was in no mood to relent and repent backing the three contentious laws that have now been repealed. However, my hunch is the government might again consider it for tabling possibly in its third term ringing an alarm bell for these farmer bodies.

From the legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price to the implementation of Swaminathan Committee reports these farmers are not looking for anything less than that. At least an attempt by should be made by the centre for forging a consensus than for a dilemma which it will have to strike off at the root of it as without taking these farmers into confidence they are not going to gain anything both substantive and meaningful.

Talks are going in the right direction as for another round scheduled for Sunday with both sides making a sincere effort to go past this stalemate how purposive and productive it turns out is for us to assess, evaluate and investigate till than these farm unions should not resign to their fate and stand their undeterred until and unless for seeking a relative gain and not about winning or loosing a point which should be made crystal clear.
