This Man From UP Sets Up His Tattoo Shop At The Fair For A Living

Once again the days arrived with festivals involving Diwali. Diwali is all about spreading lights and happiness all around. In Nanakmatta which is a small town of Uttarakhand, celebrating Diwali by organizing a big fair. This Diwali fair has been organized constantly for the last 15 years.

This fair is exactly like “chhappan bhog” where we can see all sorts of the shops. This fair lasts for 10 days, in which some people linger in tents and some people do not have tents, so they sleep under sheets in road or ground .

Almost everyone likes to get tattoos, some people like to make it on their legs , some on the hand, some prefer to have permanent tattoos and some temporary. A man named Bhupender Sharma, who was 28 years old, used to do the same work and he spent his entire life just making tattoos on the hands of people.

A young man from Jila Etah , Uttar Pradesh continuously sets up his shop at this fair every year. He sits in a place which is two feet in length, making tattoos is his passion which is also done by his father.

The fair deal was done by the gurdwara committee of Nanakmatta. Bhupendra Sharma said ” I don’t have a tent for living in but I have to do this for my children’s future”. He has been doing this work for approximately 12 years. He goes continuously to fairs of Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand every year.

“But now most of the people prefer to have a tattoo from big shops,” said Bhupendra. In this modern era when we all prefer to live in an allied life, we can take a look at their life’s. “Now there is not much profit in doing this work, still this work has to be done to run the house” said by Bhupendra.

” Even God does not always support us , sometimes we get good sales but sometimes we do not get sales at all, like now in Nanakmatta we didn’t receive any profit and no one is coming here” Said by Bhupendra.

We always look only at our comfort zone , we may get used to that cozy bed and sofa. Where we all are talking about brands. Instead of investing our time into something learnable we invest it in show off which is useless. While on one side we were saying that we want to become the 3rd largest economy, on the other side there are these people who are able to eat only two meals a day.
