Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ Being Attacked Is Deeply Disturbing

Attack on the convoy of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at Assam’s Sonitpur is worrying and disturbing with Hemant Biswas Sharma’s government failing to provide Congress’s leadership with adequate security cover. Vandals not only attacked their cars but also damaged their posters and banners venting out frustration over Rahul Gandhi’s alleged yatra spanning across the length and breadth of the state.

Whosoever has been involved behind this unpardonable act and episode should be thoroughly investigated and booked immediately if not for the connivance of state apparatus and machinery fearing the immense popularity and acceptance of Rahul Gandhi amongst the common and ordinary citizens of state. Should, Hemanta Biswas Sharma former Congress leader be over reacting to the corruption barb pressed by Rahul Gandhi few days ago resorting to such kind of intimidation tactics else he would have definitely got the culprits behind bars.

In this matter, it’s the ego of an ambitious Hemanta Biswas Sharma who played a phenomenal role in the rise and expansion of Bhartiya Janta Party in North East which till now had the dominance of Congress or the numerically significant regional outfits. But, with Himanta at the helm BJP only grew in shape and size over the period of time in a region lacking development and infrastructural facilities. Getting a free hand in BJP and cultivating ties with the top brass in the party his stature only grew digesting scandalous corruption charges was nothing more than frivolous for Himanta.

Exactly the reason behind his response towards Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra sounding unapologetic towards whatever happened with the aides and cadre of Rahul Gandhi at Sonitpur. Pradesh Congress committee chief was heckled and hounded with their communication and media incharge too being made to bear the brunt further shaking the foundation stone of our democracy which has so far been sound and solid with systematic attempts being made to weaken and muzzle it standing the test of time has been its greatest hallmark and USP.

Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra isn’t about milking and reaping electoral dividends but more about listening to the plight and miseries of common and ordinary fighting a battle at every front from employment to wages constantly striving and starving with Rahul Gandhi lending a supporting hand to their fight perturbing, annoying and intriguing the ecosystem of BJP triggering a mob display which was out to seize the opportunity and occasion to their advantage.

As for Rahul Gandhi stepping out of his bus and waving towards them was the sign that neither he can be scared nor bullied by such kind of theatrics which can no doubt he can pretty handle and manage. For BJP, pappu image is not a safe guarantee anymore against Rahul Gandhi a dilemma from which BJP is yet to overcome and bounce back with an evolving Rahul Gandhi, BJPs getting to the finish line will be a litmus ahead in the national elections scheduled later this year as they have began to buckle up
