Laloo Prasad Yadav and son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav personally visiting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his residence has set a political buzz in Bihar. Coming on the heels of Home Minister Amit Shah,s statement with BJP warming up to Nitish,s JD(U) as earlier Amit Shah had hinted that doors for JD(U) have been closed forever. Secondly, RJDs tall leader Bhai Virendra,s comment that Nitish babu became CM due to Laloo ji,s blessing has not gone well with Nitish Kumar as was reportedly upset with the kind of remarks RJD leaders and legislators were making against him in their individual capacity.
However, both RJD and JDU have rubbished and refuted claims of Nitish Kumar yet again jumping the ship stitching and cobbling an understanding with the BJP efforts calling this a routine meeting between the constituents of Grand Alliance.
Though on paper it might look a little comforting but in practice it isn’t looking convincing and re assuring as for the past few months Nitish babu had been maintaining a stoic silence with a soft smile on his face everytime he finds himself strucked in the middle.
Credited for INDIA alliance, Nitish Kumar has never believed in making public his larger political interests and agenda rather preferring to go by his instincts and intuition he is a leader who will never lets his lieutenants read his politics taking a course which neither can be speculated nor deciphered such are his minute qualities that even for political pundits anticipating his moves starts appearing tricky.
I understand after sacking former JD(U) chief Sh. Lalan Singh, he is playing his part safe not in a flash watchful of electoral prospects and possibilities of INDIA alliance.
If there is nothing much in store for him there than he won’t spare a moment performing what he is best known either he would cosy with saffron party in Bihar or dissolve Bihar assembly months before the general elections gauging people’s sentiments in the backdrop of a successive caste census brought with an aim and agenda of ensuring social justice and dignity for those at the margins.
However, this isn’t going to be self congratulatory for Nitish babu for the image he has cultivated over the past few years being a mausam vigayanik a tag which was attached to Late Sh. Ramvilas Paswan, founder Lok Janshakti Party holding several cabinet portfolios in different governments at the centre- UPA and NDA.
So, is for Nitish babu who knows the direction of political wind resting aside all the grapevine, chitchats and murmurs for the time being it is to see what is going to be call post 22nd January after the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Can we see a jubilant BJP accomodating him like wise or show him his place if at all they enter into a pact in Bihar ????
