“Welcoming Lord Ram Back To His City Brought Me Tears Of Joy”

As the sun greeted the world on January 22nd, echoing the sentiments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it marked a day that would be remembered as a contemporary Deepawali. The reason behind this collective joy? Prabhu Shree Raam Lalla had found his sacred home at #Ayodhya, his #Janmbhumi. The captivating images of the divine murti of Ram Lala and the enchanting mandir premises filled our screens and social media, evoking a wave of spiritual euphoria.

In the midst of these jubilant moments, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath’s words resonated deeply, “It seems like we are back in the Treta Yuga, welcoming our beloved Lord Rama back to his city Ayodhya.” As someone deeply connected to the sentiments surrounding Raam, witnessing this grand spectacle brought tears of joy to my eyes, a sentiment shared by countless others nationwide.

Motivated by a desire to immerse myself in the festive spirit, I decided to take a ride through the streets of Dehradun, my current abode. The City of Love was pulsating with celebrations, mirroring the joyous scenes witnessed in different corners of the world. Soulful songs and bhajans echoed through loudspeakers, lively processions filled the streets, and people reveled in unbridled happiness. The energy was infectious, and I found myself swept away by the collective jubilation.

Yet, amidst the revelry, two thoughts lingered in my mind. Firstly, I hoped that this joy would not transform into animosity towards any specific religious community, or, to put it plainly – towards our Muslim brethren. The sanctity of this occasion should serve as a unifying force, fostering love and understanding among all communities.

Secondly, a tinge of sadness crept in as I noticed the absence of celebrations among my Muslim friends and connections. It struck me that the glory of Raam transcends any particular community; Raam is the revered ancestor of all who call Bharatvarsh their home.

Now that Siya Pati Ram has found his sacred abode in Ayodhya, it is crucial for all citizens of India to recognize that this is just the initial step towards the manifestation of Raam Rajya – a dream shared by many. The foundational principles of Raam Rajya, such as inclusiveness, compassion, and empathy, need to permeate through all layers of society. It’s time for people to rediscover the true essence of Raam Rajya.

So, what is Raam Rajya?

A Rajya where equality reigns supreme, where every citizen experiences true freedom, and justice (Nyay) forms the bedrock of governance. It’s a Rajya where knowledge is revered, and through that knowledge, compassion is cultivated. It’s a Rajya where bravery (Shaurya) is harnessed for self-protection, demolishing evil, and ensuring the freedom of others. It’s a Rajya that thrives, develops, and leads the world. It’s a Rajya devoid of discrimination, where every individual possesses a sense of self-righteousness. It’s a Rajya where no one sleeps hungry, everyone enjoys human rights, and excellence is pursued tirelessly. Above all, it’s a Rajya where Raam is not confined to just a slogan, political rhetoric, or a word but an embodiment of values, an expression of a vision.

In conclusion, I earnestly hope for a united, inclusive nation where every citizen contributes to the collective journey towards Raam Rajya regardless of their beliefs. May those holding the name of Raam dear continue to nurture this vision, fostering a nation that epitomizes love, unity, and righteousness.
