“Tripti Dimri’s Fame After ‘Animal’ Is A Clear Example Of Toxic Masculinity”

According to the sources the actress Tripti Dimri received unbelievable upsurge in the number of followers on her social media handle. Her Instagram account was followed by 19,89,000 new users just in a span of week. And all of the things revolve around the release of movie Animal.

For anyone in the media and film industry in today’s time, the social media following is much of a thing. She getting the recognition she anyway deserves for the kind of actor she is very much adorable and a happy happening. But what concerns me and the whole point of me writing this article is the fact that this sudden raise in following on social media is coming from a movie like Animal, where her character is projected in a particular way that has been talks of backbench teenagers. The movie that is a clear example and epitome of toxic masculinity and rebellion trend.

The things that hurts badly is she was not talked often in the way she should’ve been since the release of movies like Laila Majnu or Bulbul. Her performance as an actor in those movies is much more phenomenal than what she did in Animal.

This shows failure of us as society, as cinema audience to appreciate the art and craft where it is most deserving.
