“If I Can’t Decipher ‘Delulu’ & ‘Solulu’, Am I Gen-Z Enough?”

Our generation….Oh sorry we called it as genz . Obviously, a pop term. Pop culture is an emotion that I have injected into my vein and maybe you also?. I have been influenced by pop a lot. What about you ? If yes then it can be seen by what we wear, what we ate and our vocabulary.

From my point of view, pop culture has helped me a lot. It has made it easy for me to connect with different groups of people. Today we can easily make friends by just talking about web series and new films. It has united people and has helped to develop global society. It has provided me with icons like Taylor swift and has influenced feminism. It has made my emotional breakdowns into award winning drama.

Who knew pop culture is the ultimate multitasker. But hold on, there’s a plot twist – pop culture, the sneaky emotional ninja, didn’t just bring laughs; it brought a tear or two. This culture is a puzzle piece, we desperately try to fit into society’s ‘cool’ box. I recall the day when my knowledge of trends was as empty as my coffee cup during exam week – a prime target for my friends’ playful roasts.

Always comparing myself to celebrities, I’ve mastered the art of self-doubt – a skill not listed on my resume.well,if I can’t wear that ,if I can’t do it then I am not good. This is what I always thought.we young youth always get influenced by this. The youthful me, easily swayed by movie magic, web series wonders, and the enticing charm of social media, decided that coolness is directly proportional to how well I emulate Hollywood stars. So here I am, attempting gravity-defying stunts in the name of trendiness.

Who knew my life choices would be dictated by movie scripts, fictional characters. I always watch those British and English Web series and then for a few days I will talk in that accent like ‘Eww I can’t do that’. This makes us lose originality. Let me tell you something A distinctive scream sound effect, known as the Wilhelm Scream, has been used in over 400 films, including Star Wars and Indiana Jones series.

It started in the 1950s and has become a quirky element in pop culture.”Ah, us Gen Z kids, where being good is practically a crime, and if you’re not toxic, are you even living? It’s like we took ‘cool’ lessons from a mischievous cat. Thanks to this mindset, we’ve coined terms like ‘situation ships’ and ‘friends with benefits’ – because who needs labels?

It’s not a relationship; it’s a pop culture obstacle course. This pop has created a race for youth.”If I can decipher the mysterious codes of solu lu and delu lu, I’m officially certified for the latest generation; otherwise, I might as well be using a quill and parchment. This pop culture craze has convinced us that following beauty standards is as crucial as remembering our WiFi passwords.

Who needs Indian culture when you can binge-watch movies that make you question the solu-lution to life? Pop culture has promoted stereotypes, negative behavior and conflict and confusion. It has also shaped young people’s attitude toward people, drugs and alcohol use. From my point I genuinely think that we should be what we are and not get influenced by this cause it’s temporary and as time changes this all changes.

I personally believe that ‘ if you get culture right, most of the other stuff will just take care of itself’.“Why confine yourself to a box when life’s more like a game of ‘Let’s Think Outside the Box and Occasionally Lose the Instructions’?
