Almost a week has lapsed with the declaration of assembly election result of five state still BJP remains in a huddle over the chief minister faces in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh with fate of Shivraj, Vasundhara and Raman Singh hanging in balance. Atleast in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh both Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Vasundhara Raje Scindia are hobnobbing support for their respective candidature with BJPs central leadership in a fix with party’ s parliamentary board treading cautiously than swiftly for the size of claimants for the top role.
Secondly, BJP seems to be chalking out a plan going back to the drawing board for 2024 which might still not be a cake walk for Modi with the opposition in an aggressive mode particularly Congress trying hard to come out of poll setback adopting every trick of the trade to not let Narendra Modi gain a clear advantage. Thirdly, BJP is resorting to whatever it could to not let go the narrative of corruption and dynasty against its detractors from its hand at any cost a plot yielding dividends politically and electorally.
Fourthly, people,s trust in Modi,s leadership and governance has increased manifold after the electoral outcome self assuring him of an hat trick his promisory glances is at best a reflection of it. However, by delaying announcement over CM, BJP might find its going patchy with a section of legislators affirming their faith and obedience in the tried and tested than for experimenting with someone who is yet to come to the mark giving them enough room to plead their case.
Be it Vasundhara or Shivraj they have sensed this unease trying to exploit and maximize as much as possible with BJP staring at a stop gap arrangement in the run up to the maha rann of 2024. A lot has already been put to stake !!
