Why I Think Baby Products Should Be Free

India, the country with the largest population in the world, is honestly unstoppable at this point. Along with the population, there also stand many low-class people who work hard to survive every day just to wake up the next. With that comes the responsibility of newborns, now that inflation has caught on, general hygiene products for women and infants are very expensive.

So, I believe, those products should be free, especially for mothers belonging to a different class. The rich can buy them with their financially stable bank. The Middles work hard and manage to afford them, but then comes the lows, who can’t even afford to work.

Additionally, taking care of a child is pretty difficult, till the child can take care of themselves there’s no way their mother can go out to work while leaving their child alone, especially when they can’t afford a babysitter. And when they can’t work, their bills pile up, hygiene products are not accessible due to the loss of money. Not just mothers but fathers, too, with the amount of people existing in India, the percentage of people who are single parents is very high.

Kids need to be pampered and should be able to live their childhood with the necessities that they must be offered with, taking care of babies is not an easy task either, the standards are high when it comes to raising babies. There hasn’t been any particular incident that made me write this but just the general public.

Even when we see helpless mothers, on the street, begging, we neglect them like they’re never there. Now, I don’t mean to say that you must be helping each one of them every time you come across one, but simple gestures that you intentionally don’t do because of a few stereotypes, that is wrong.

Though that doesn’t completely mean to help all of them, some of them will trick you while some genuinely need any help they can get, along with them they also have to feed their children, baby formula, diapers, and other baby products have been so expensive that people find the need to shoplift just to keep a baby healthy and provide them with a life that they should get either way.

The amount of money they were born with shouldn’t matter as it wasn’t the choice of the child to be born in specific conditions, many also abandon or kill their child because they’re not able to afford to raise them, which makes the child’s life harder and be filled with traumatic experiences as they never know where they might end up.

A newborn is unaware of everything, they don’t get a choice to be raised in a wealthy family. Wherever the baby might be from they should be able to access the things they need, the things that are essential for their survival. I say baby products should be free for mothers, fathers, or people who need them, because no matter what, the baby should get to live life even if they were born with a silver spoon or not.

They have an unpredictable future in front of them, we never know if they might be one to build a change, a remarkable one, no living being should die just because of things they couldn’t afford, or things that were too expensive but necessary for their survival, which is why, general baby products must be free.
