Vidya Balan Is Saddened By The Death Of Director Gautam Halder

Vidya Balan came to Kolkata last month. He came to Mahalaya to inaugurate the puja. However, her coming this time was not for any joyous event but she came to Kolkata in mourningGautam Halder, the director of actress Vidya’s first film ‘Bhalo Theko’, passed away after suffering from a heart attack on Friday. The actress broke down in tears on hearing the news of his death on Friday.

Vidya’s team informed that “Vidya Balan last met Gautam Halder during Durga Puja last month. She even went to his house. They spent some time together there. Vidya also inaugurated the puja of his neighborhood. Director Gautam Halder died in a private hospital in Kolkata on Friday morning. As soon as she got the news, the actress canceled all plans and rushed to Kolkata to pay her last respects to the first director.”

Gautam Halder was one of the brightest stars of the theater world. Many dramas have been staged under his direction. Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Raktakarbi’ is the most popular drama; Where Chaiti Ghoshal played the role of Nandini. Many actors and actresses from the theater world have come to the hospital and his house to pay their last respects.

The star was 80 years old at the time of his death. He was taken ill this morning and was rushed to the hospital, but the director died on the road. The theater world is saddened by his death.

Chaiti Ghoshal wrote on social media, ‘Gautam Da stay well. No longer reachable. Nandini’. 

Not only Chaiti, he also directed plays starring Devashankar Halda. In 2003, his directed film ‘Bhalo Theko’ was released. Vidya Balan, Soumitra Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Devashankar Halder acted in this film. In 2019, Gautam’s film ‘Nirvana’ was released. Rakhi Gulzar played the lead role in this film. The film was also screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival.
