How ‘Andhbhakts’ Have Given Rise To Whataboutism

Have you ever imagined how brutal our youth have been became? probably not because nobody will going to tell you that and why the hell would you think about that on your own? The biggest sin our youth have done today is adopting the art of “Whataboutism”. Literally, whataboutism means countering your side by questioning others of their wrong doings. Don’t you think it could be the biggest weapon anyone can use to destroy the whole argument?

Well, human behaviour is designed to be prove what they are made of but when ego take over humanity, no human can dare to think morally or ethically. Today, if you ask someone “How are you?” they will probably say “I am fine, Thank you” but suddenly if you ask “Why did you spoke shit about me yesterday behing my back?” you will surely get a “Because you spoke shit behind my back too the other day!” instead of “Oh! I am sorry pal, I will not do that again”.

Instead of becoming self-aware about our weakness we are blaming others. Is that fair? Are we gonna survive like this? Well, from social media to politics, this whataboutism has destroyed many relationships and friendships which could be saved just by saying “sorry” or just not saying sorry but finding a solution to the problem. I have specifically targeted the youth of my country but the question comes first that who are the role models of these youth?

Whom are they cherishing? Simple! those races which tends to create the state of discomfort and disturbance in the country. I call them “Andhbhakts” means the blind devotees which does not have anything to do with the god but only to satisfy their race that they are doing something for their religion. You will see tons of andhbhakts and their andhbhakti on social media, some andhbhakts uses interpersonal communication to spread their andhbhakti and create connections and nowadays some andhbhakt showcase their andhbhakti in front of media.

Honestly, I do not have any problem with their hate comments or illogical criticism on other religions, after all, those comments can never change my ideologies but the matter I am worried about is majority of these andhbhakts are the actual youth of our country which includes the school goers, the teenagers and even the women also. Can you even imagine how bizarre it is to see our young citizens wasting their time investing it in something that they do not even know about? I wonder how would these andhbhakts convince these teenagers to join them?

Obviously some useless greed must be given to them in exchange of their precious time. I still wonder and I will wonder until I would not destroy their andhbhakti from top to bottom. These andhbhakts have given rise to this whataboutism. Actually the whole system of whataboutism suits them because arguments is all they can do rather than actually improving their ideologies. You ask any andhbhakt why religion or caste is an excuse to discriminate each other’s race and they will tell you the whole story of what their great ancestors have thought them and how they are superior to other races and religions but you will tell them one sin their ancestors did and their “Art of Whataboutism” will end your point by just saying three words: “WHAT ABOUT THAT!?”

Hopefully there are some races which actually works upon their problems and I can proudly say that I have made my steps in that race now. This whataboutism have been spread all across the world and corrupted everyone but as like they say, “Weaknesses can only be cured with improvements”,We can still change our ideology and when everyone will change it then only the actual development can happen. There are tons of topics in our country which should be raised in front of the government but no andhbhakt wants to make that happen. As a responsible citizen of my country, It is my sole responsibility to showcase the reality of our society to everyone reading this article.

According to some reports: Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Pondicherry, Kerala, Arunachal and the other Seven Sister States and West Bengal are the places where there are no restrictions on cow slaughter. And still there are races of people who literally kill the animals they worship in the name of god. In India, there are 1,623 registered slaughter houses which are right in front of the andhbhakts but they would not raise voice against animal cutting but you just say something about their religion and you will be beaten to death by them. Now, if I ask any andhhakt about these slaughter houses, I would not expect any other answer than “What about that race? They also kill” and this is the real problem with the whataboutism.

You kill an animal and blame other race but they beat a person of your race and you will bring a movement against them, this is not fair. We all are humans and we have to co-exist while respecting each other’s religions and culture. I strongly object those who kill and exploit others in the name of religion but on the other hand I myself would not exploit them in the name of a revolution, what differences would be left in me and them if I do the same wrongdoings they are doing with the people of other caste and religion.

This is just one example which is more relevant than hundreds of news debates happening in the name of different races nowadays. As a media student I would say that the sole responsible of the current situation is the social media as well as the corrupted journalism. My personal experience say that five minutes of social media scrolling have the power to exaggerate any andhbhakt to spread hate all over the state.

The problem is that one andhbhakt post a hate speech and all his follower will spread it all across their network and that’s how their network builds. Wretchedly, you and me are their networks. What we see at social media is not the actual reality which should be shown off-the-record, thanks to the holy existence of technology. In conclusion, the whataboutism is a blunt weapon used by andhbhakts which is slowly spreading among the people of our state but as far as you and me are aware about what is ethically right or wrong, WE CAN.
