Advancement and expansion of technology has posed great challenges ahead of us concerning our privacy, security and safety in a way which can’t be dealt and addressed by conventional means and methods. For an common and ordinary individual it is next to impossible cracking a whip against a kind of technology we are seeing before us- AI is but one of the threats troublesome and turbulent that can make us quite vulnerable and volatile to different kinds and levels of breaches. Remember, Pegasus spyware creating a furore over its unqualified, unexplained and illegal use against critics, sceptics and dissidents of current ruling dispensation of BJP in India. Though nothing concrete came out of endless number of debates and deliberations with the centre backing out from furnishing any affidavit in the Supreme Court despite being repeatedly reprimanded by the apex court.

Apple’s notification to opposition MPs over the alleged attack by state sponsored actors has again brought to the fore the worst of fears of those opposing this selective trial and targeting mounting attack against a dispensation drunk on majoritarianism. Leaders from across different party line like TMCs Mahua Moitra, AIMIMs Owaisi, Congress,s Pawan Khera etc have been on the radar of ruling establishment freely airing and expressing themselves without any fear or fervour. Still, the merits of it should be debated as these actors are quite different from regular cybercriminals lacking this much of intricacies and complexities. I believe centre bears a moral responsibility for bringing facts out in the open without delaying any further rather than shifting the blame by passing the bucks notching up irrelevant issues lacking the link and alignment with the subject at hand. High time, if at all they make a call..
