Against Israel and in favor of the Palestinians, various mass organizations held a large protest march in the heart of Kolkata. In this procession, all organizations gathered at Moulali at 1 pm today. Then this great protest march marched through the heart of Calcutta i.e. from Maulali to Dharmatala and various slogans rose from the march – “Stop Israeli barbarity”; “The Palestinian Resistance Movement Zindabad”; “Fascist America be damned”; “Palestine should be given the status of a separate state according to the resolution adopted by the Commonwealth of Nations” etc.
After walking on the streets in this procession, a joint initiative of various mass organizations held a meeting at Dharmatala. In the protest meeting, various leaders were seen insulting Israel as well as Benjamin Netanyahu. Many mass organizations are heard ordering not to use Israeli products. Because according to them, buying those products means providing money to Israel which is causing problems to the oppressed Palestinians.
At the same time, various mass organizations highlight how the torture of children, women and the elderly in Palestine is going on in addition to the frenzy of genocide, which needs to be stopped. And many claim that Israel has launched these atrocities and attacks not only to occupy Palestine but also to occupy various countries in the Middle East including Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Jordan.
Also, some organizations did not forget to condemn Modi. According to them, “Chawala Modi” is not India alone, he is on two boats. Because the Modi government was first seen in favor of Israel. And recently Modiji was seen tweeting about giving food relief to Palestine. Even the Modi government did not support the ceasefire proposal presented at the UN. Along with Israel, the role of the American and Indian central governments was condemned through this protest march.
