Not Very Far Though Team India May Not Have Won

Though Team India might not have won World Cup but has won millions and millions of heart for a performance that is going to stay forever in our minds and hearts, etched and inscribed. Unbeatable in their league stages, Rohit Sharma and company striked the chord with a right intent enterprisingly outstanding in all departments of the game – batting, bowling and fielding commanding an honour and recognition like no other speaking volumes of their efforts and efficiency in tackling and soaking the pressure and challenges of a competition where every encounter became rare and unique.

From bowling Srilanka all out at 55 to taking the fuel out of England batting line at 129 chasing a modest score of 229 our boys were simply superb, brilliant and phenomenal in their overall outlook, attitude and approach pushing with their natural game. Home advantage gave them an edge in adjusting to the situation and circumstances from Wankhede to Eden Gardens a clarity of thought and purpose was always there. Indeed, individual performances like Kohli breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar 49th ODI centuries to Shami getting seven wickets against Kiwis in the Semis were a great sight for fans and enthusiasts of Cricket. Honestly speaking I was pleased with the intensity and caliber of our bowling unit – Bumrah, Siraj, Jaddu and Shami complimenting and encouraging each other on every occasion with their respective feat. ICCCWC2023 was an amazing delight shining  lights on the prospects and possibilities for Indian ? cricket as a whole. Clinching the title had its own charm for the blue brigade however without it too our side is no less competent having the willingness and zeal to demonstrate a domination like they did over the one a half months. Nation is proud of you so what if we missed the cup by coming near and yet far from it
