Spirited Coco Gauff Goes On With Her 15th Straight Win At China Open

We do not generally admire lengthy debates on tennis with our friends’ circle. We do not prefer to talk about it with others. We were discussing usually cricket and Kabbadi. But a key reason for talking about the game of tennis remains a drop in despair and tension even though no genuine medical probity remains in this regard.

Recently, Coco Gauff obtained the longest winning streak on the WTA Tour this season by beating Veronika Kudermetova 7-6(5) 6-2 in the third round of the China Open being her 15th consecutive victory. However, her defeat happened in the quarter-finals at Montreal following her Washington triumph. She has been an unstoppable player ever since, winning the Cincinnati title and her maiden Grand Slam crown at her home US Open.

Displaying a solace of golden achievement, the straight-legged and square-toed Coco Gauff has won the first Grand Slam title with a fightback win in the US Open final. Her full confidence persisted on the WTA tour. Struggling and toiling with her better place, she started slowly in front of an expectant home crowd but grew in confidence to wear down second-seed Sabalenka in New York. She figures out just how daunting and therefore mighty as well as gamely challenging the tennis game remains to be.

When she had lost in her only other major singles final at the 2022 French Open, she painfully reacted: “I feel like God puts you through tribulations and trials and that makes this even sweeter.” Gauff is the third American teenager to win the US Open women’s title, following in the footsteps of Serena Williams, who won for the first time in 1999. After the summer of Coco, the sixth seed will rise to a new career high of No 3 in the WTA rankings.
