Hamas offensive on Israeli soil has taken Netanyahu,s leadership by surprise with the later vowing to revenge the killing of its civilian population. Politically, Netanyahu would definitely would like to cash on this one enhancing and enriching his credentials, legitimacy and authority neutralising any form of anti incumbency against his regime. For, Netanyahu calling for the formation of an emergency government in the backdrop of Hamas adventurism triggering a catastrophe and wrecking havoc in West Asia affirms Israel,s military mightiness and prowess in taming Hamas by its bud. Palestinians have been at the receiving end due to their continued oppression and subjugation at the hands of Israel in its settled territory. Shouting it hard and loud but with the normalisation of ties between Israel and Arab it could have become much more convincing for Israel further relegating Palestinians to periphery. However, actions by Hamas sneaking into Israel,s territory and ordering one of the fiercest and deadliest destruction and devastation of life and limb has awarded Israel with an opportunity to designate Hamas as a terrorist network than a frontal organisation resisting the autocracy and dictatorship of Israel over common and ordinary Palestinians. But does the unjustified actions by Hamas augur well for movement by Palestinians for statehood, autonomy and liberation from atrocities and brutalities of all kinds ? If not than Hamas should carefully reinvent it’s strategy and renegotiate with its claims of being representative of the Palestinian cause. I understand for a permanent solution to this stalemate it is important for the contending sides to shun and abhor execution of violence for a systematic and sustained dialogue and diplomacy bringing an end to this chapter of anarchy both volatile and tumultuous for a region with a strategic significance and importance. Maintaining cordiality and moving ahead in different spheres and arenas from politics to economics is the need of hour for modern day state players a point which should be looked at
