Mohd Siraj, s magnificent bowling spell at Colombo ensured India clinching the Asia cup title lifting the cup for the eight consecutive time. Srilanka were totally listless and clueless reacting to Siraj leaving little room to reasonably express themselves executing their plot. Siraj demolished and destroyed the tall Srilankan batting order like a pack of cards becoming first Indian with four scalps in one single over.
Finishing with figures of (6/21) maintaining a fine seam position against a line and length that was a lot fuller wrecking havoc for Srilankan batters gasping to take charge of the situation annoyed, irked and intrigued bellying the hopes and expectations of the domestic audience for a miracle that could have saved their dwindling faith.
Cricket as we all understand is a sport ripe with probabilities and possibilities where reaching to any inference is solely a reflection of the hypothesis we generally assume or presume at the very beginning. Great to see boys in top gear with World Cup knocking at their doorsteps demanding a commitment seeing them scaling and sailing a notch bigger than this for a squad that believes in fighting with its all it’s guns up and high.
