Every bride on her sangeet ceremony applying heena must have heard about the unwritten relation of heena and love by aunties – ‘Darker the colour of heena bestest will be the married life and a loving husband’. So the colour of heena on hand is directly proportional to the love and happiness in marriage.
This theory unlike all the theories of physics didn’t vanished from my mind but got stuck. Now, as a growing teenage, when I observed a bride paying thousands to the heena artist, keeping an eye on the deatalis of her Heena. The outcome was also very preety, the perfect dark coloured beautiful Heena on the hands of bride. Here also the stamp of perfect life partner was based on heena lovemeter. But after 3 months of their marraige I heard a news of domestic violence by her husband, who passed the heena lovemeter exam with flying colours but failed the real life exam!!!
My only advice to the society is – ‘The colours of daughter’s Heena and blood is similar, don’t get trapped’.
“Ye mehndi ka rang chemical locha hai, pati ka Pyaar nhi” – stop romanticising all these things.
Bollywood is also not less in hyping the heena’s power of love. A song’s lyrics says :Chode se bhi na choote rang. Chap aisi lagayi tere Naam Ki, Mehndi! Which means Even if tried to remove. I have such a strong stamp of your name that it cannot be removed. Heena!
The colour of Heena is preety don’t relate it to love which is not same for everyone..
