SRKs stamp is visible all over in Jawan from starting to end for a Shahrukh leaving nothing to chance with an extraordinary cinematic delight that is so promising for his fans and audience alike. A political satire pointing towards the anomalies in the system pulled and dragged by a cream indulging and engaging in whatever it takes for them to collectively sustain their interests from getting a debt waiver to sanctioning of a project or a parcel of land solely benefitting from it. For the common and ordinary its a rat race at every juncture proving oneself is a criterion for sailing and marching ahead. Holding back isn’t an alternative at every front they need to strive and struggle without ever countering and complaining of their choices. For their guilt either their destiny is not by their side or their luck is not favouring them.
They forget that they are getting soaked of whatever little they have or carry but the verdict is way different from what they anticipate. Amidst the hustle, bustle and commotion they anyhow need to meet their ends confronting dismay and despair for a society that is brazenly so unequal, hierarchical and prejudiced unevenly balanced with a handful milking the share of resources owing to their social capital. Withstanding them becomes herculean for those daring a folly of system that on paper is something and in practice totally opposite.
Should this not bother, annoy and intrigue us when we cast our ballot after every five years? Why are we so afraid and nervous to ask critical questions to our leaders talking big saying out their schemes so loud until this doesn’t take place till than our alliance and association with these politicians is going to remain transactional and nothing concrete is going to flow out on any of the fronts – education, healthcare and employment as we would just be passive citizens getting least bothered with whatever our leaders pursue and propagate. We simply would remain electoral pawns an expression which SRKs Jawan poignantly conducts and carry
