It All Began In The August Of 2019, It Was Love At First Sight

We love going to the Gurudwara and Dargah together, where we pray for each other’s health. We’ve been dating for over 4 years; it all began in August of 2019. Our shared spiritual values and ethos bring us together.

In January 2019, she walked in for an interview at the HR agency where I worked. She was wearing a white dress with a long brown coat, heels, danglers in her ears, and a perfectly messy bun. It was love at first sight. She was in a toxic relationship at the time, and I helped her break free from it. Our relationship was just beginning, but she wasn’t sure about her sexuality, so she ended things. However, a few months later, she proposed, and we started again!

When her family found out about us, they took her phone away, and we lost contact. Then, one day, she suddenly messaged me on Twitter, and we started talking secretly.

Other adventures of ours include celebrating her birthday in March during the peak of lockdown. I baked a cake for her (even though I’m a terrible cook) and, despite the curfew, managed to reach her home for the celebration. Additionally, when I got transferred to Ludhiana, she made the effort to come to Delhi to see me despite her strict family.

She loves me unconditionally and brings out the best in me. She motivates me to do my best every time. Like every other couple, we do have our share of arguments, but we both take the time to understand each other’s perspective because in our hearts, we know we’re meant to be. We keep our relationship alive and thriving on the foundations of respect, communication, trust, and, of course, love!
