Lust love and coy
Victory triumph and success to enjoy
Aspirations and friendly relations that leave me light-spirited and buoy
Purpose and belonging may bring me bliss
but distress and crisis leave me staring into a dark abyss
Sorrow sadness and pain,
Betrayal leaves me crying in vain
as agony and despair make tears rain
jealousy and envy drive me into doing things insane
Sometimes although my heart is filled with disdain
I know hope will shine bright through my life once again
Finding the light in the dark abyss
