Varun Gandhi Hits Upon Import Of Exotic Animals As Reckless Exercise

Varun Gandhi, a BJP leader looks disturbed by the death of several Cheetahs. So feels at odds upon knowing the fresh arrival of the Cheetahs from South Africa. One complete year has been completed since the start of the country’s enterprising initiative ‘Project Cheetah’ to rehabilitate cheetahs after their extinction.

The initiative began on September 17 last year when Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a group of leopards brought from Namibia into an enclosure in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.

He emphasizes the conservation of these very endangered species. His clear view remains like this: “Importing cheetahs from South Africa and leaving nine of them to die in an isolated environment is not just cruelty; This is sheer carelessness and indifference.”

The moot question dashes, why does he take to task his party? This reckless exercise of introducing exotic animals must end immediately and we must instead give priority to the welfare of our native wildlife.”

Following the central government’s plans to fetch South African leopards, Varun Gandhi, MP, Bharatiya Janata Party said that India should focus on the conservation of its endangered species.

Meanwhile, SP Yadav, head of ‘Project Cheetah’ affirmed that the next group of cheetahs will be brought from South Africa and settled in Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh. The drawback is that this sanctuary is likely to be ready to accommodate leopards by the end of the year, as reported.
