Mayor Calls A Bulldozer At This Hospital For Being Asked To Remove Shoes

It is certainly not a part of Shakespearean or Kalidas drama that was enacted at an ICU of a Lucknow hospital recently. It was also a scene of a film being in process with expert cameramen at a location where healthy individuals fear to tread all the more. It used to be avoided to enter the Computer Room & Intensive Care Unit by wearing shoes. Now, there is supposed to be raised demand for doing away with the strict norms.

High drama grew only after an exchange of a heated argument that ensued over the removal of shoes before entering the most hygienic space. The hospital administration asked the Lucknow Mayor to remove her shoes before entering the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This was a big factor in the creation of verbal confrontation.

The hygiene protocol seemed to have been shaken under the huge authority of Nagar Nigam’s elected mayor. The removal of shoes was required just to maintain cleanliness inside the highly protected space of the hospital. As the altercation escalated, reports said, posters were put up outside the hospital premises and even a bulldozer was brought to the place. However, the matter was resolved after police reached the spot.

According to the hospital administration, the mayor and her supporters tried to enter the ICU without following the hygiene protocol. Hospital director Mudrika Singh, however, later denied reports of an altercation between the staff and the city mayor who reportedly visited the hospital to meet a retired soldier from the Army brigade of the municipal corporation, who was there.
