Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya seems to be courting a controversy landing SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in a great dilemma and difficulty. Defending Maurya’s “Hinduism as hoax” and banning Ramcharitramanas has put Akhilesh in a tight shape with bypoll to Ghosi around the corner.
Why, is it BSP recruit Maurya has to toe the line everytime whenever he wishes to speak his mind, being a little careful is always beneficial for politicians airing their opinions and observations on matters which are but delicate and sensitive in nature. Maybe our netas are in no mood to repent by not taking a lesson from past continuously rejoicing making the same mistake again and again, habitual offenders for a votebank that means world to him.
I understand no body is a messiah or a mascot at best securing and reaping political dividends exaggerating themselves going at great lengths. For Maurya who identifies himself as backward banking on identity and assertion of caste is a central theme to which he tends to stick often changing his goalposts embarassing bosses at the top.
I am afraid but Samajwadi Party may end up paying dearly if they don’t act tough on such off the cuff remarks by its leaders and spokesperson all their attempts to electoral take off will suffer a drubbing. Akhilesh Yadav should take a call without wasting any single moment staying away from political power may lead to resentment and dwindling within its ranks and files. Time ripe for crucial amendments in Samajwadi Party
