We have a lot of admiration for our great country, but we also indulge in arguments a lot over basically a few essential topics. We even do not forget to accept all our patriotic feelings, and requirements. Anyhow, we find our very fine conclusion rather contradictory as though our entangled calculations vary from our expectancies.
Recently, our grand day of independence was celebrated with zest but what made us discuss more deeply was the customary confusion over the year of completion of the 15th of August.
if we hasten to consider, August 15, 1947, as the first mark of Independence, and hence the first Independence Day, 15th August 2023 will technically fall to 77th year of Independence. However, if we move to count August 15, 1948, as the first anniversary since Independence in the year 1947, India would be celebrating its 76th Independence Day.
Therefore, this year India completed its 76 years of Independence and commenced its 77th year of Independence. This simpler count prevents perplexity and enables us from falling into an argument unnecessarily.
