I just finished reading the news of multiple murders in Central Superfast Express by an RPF Jawan. This murder in my humble opinion puts in question all those people who vote for hatred and watch media channels for the flavours of ethnic cleansing and satisfaction it brings to them.
Doesn’t it scare you that today it was a middle aged Jawan whose mind was so washed by hatred that he took to murders and tomorrow it could be your children committing heinous crimes in broad daylight killing and raping because the other is from minorities? How do you think that these mediums and the environment wouldn’t impact young blood and cognitively weaponise them against each other?
Another important question that arises is, Will media run this news? Will anyone question it? Who will answer for this loss of innocent lives? News Channels? Party Representatives? Who? Also how easy has it become to grip a mind and use it for destruction?
First Manipur now Central Express. We really need to pause and ask ourselves – Is sitting on protests a long term solution? Why doesn’t opposition start ground level education for youth especially related to what and what not to believe in media by inculcating the art of using own brains instead of believing in maddening circus across news channels?
It will yield far better results for the opposition than these silly debates they keep sending their representatives to! Orient Express Murder proves this nation’s ideological divide is deep and rotten.
It is baffling to read about such incidents and it is scary to imagine the blood it seeks if media and politicians continue to play with lives and mindsets on their own manipulative terms. We really need to pause and ask ourselves. Where are we headed as a nation?
