Professor Kavita Singh was a distinguished and eminent Art Professor from JNU,s Centre for Arts and Aesthetics. Having wore many caps- critic,columnist, commentator and analyst her work on Museology was quite a master piece portraying how museuems were quite interlinked to shaping collective public conscience. She made some fine and seminal contributions to academics with her rigour and method pointing out towards the flaws and gaps in our civilization largely responsible for a dilemma to which there was no reprieve. Her work were context based with art as a powerful currency denoting the farce and tragedies of our times with oppressive structures subduing the autonomy of the human individual.
