Controversy Surrounding SDM Jyoti Maurya

Jyoti Maurya is a living embodiment of how certain socially reputed and rewarding profiles and positions make woman to let go it’s perks and advantages. Though some women have made a fine balance in their work and professional life setting a fine example, there are many such who find it equally competitive and challenging to come off its skin. Pushing with an effort is fine but than there are limits to it and not everyone can cope. I understand that women should ne extra sensitive, smart and intelligent dealing with the burnt of a socially conservative society where they are idolized and valourized performing such roles fitting into the patriarchal scheme of things – sacrifice, humility, family honour and pride are some if the traits expected of them. It’s not the question of who is more literate and who is lesser literate but who can get along well skillfully and tactfully rather being apprehensive and dismissive for this lady Jyoti Maurya looking for a union outside of her marriage provided with the access, support and guidance tracing her road to becoming a successful SDM. I understand it will take longer for Indian society to come off the burden of established conventions, codes and customs with a clash of deeply held beliefs and a one advocating for rationality of choice being inevitable. Defying the whip isn’t desirable in such setups holding back to it’s mythical purity and past is a badge which had to be treasured and preserved at any cost

Afraid! modernity can never see the light of the day here.
