The Looming Crisis of Depleting Natural Resources

Climate change

Climate change

I was just watching a video of technology that helps in farming without soil. Looks so attractive but if we think a little more, erosion has hazards and if technologies teach man kind to not need soil we push Earth to a dangerous mark where everything would be possible robotically.

If we wipe the use of natural resources by replacing everything with gadgets, mankind would not feel a need to preserve nature and this will give capitalism an advantage of exploitation without being questioned.

Farm lands are cut out of forests. These lands are then sold to industries and the money received is used to accommodate in houses in multi storied concrete jungles promoted by real estate as “living in luxury with world class facilities”. These facilities are provided by industries that are built on deforested land.

It is a vicious circle that leads to social differences, exclusion and discrimination because of concentrated power in limited hands. The concept of competitive world and survival in social race is devised to keep the long term goals of money making at the cost of nature under the veil.

The rivers are polluted by industrial waste and then bottled up mineral water is sold on the name of health. Unaffordable Modern Medicine is another gift of capitalism to the world wrapped in the pharmacy which is one of the biggest money making industries across the world. Most doctors are money making machines who would rather debunk conventional medicine than correct the profit making process of modern medicine and healthcare(that makes it unaffordable for sixty percent of the world).

There are so many such contributing factors to depletion of natural resources and I do not expect too many people to understand the aforesaid. All I want is, to bring it forward so that by the time people realise the reasons behind everything , there is at least a context to refer to!
