Courage is all she was taught.
Courage before stepping out either in broad daylight or nocturnal dark.
Courage before smiling too much or sulking too less.
Courage because her garb won’t matter to those fiends.
Courage because the battle will start after the war gets over.
Courage, because her clothes would define her character and opinions, would define her
fate.
Courage to narrate her story.
Courage because she’ll have to pass generational stereotypes even if she wins.
Courage because the stronger she claimed the weaker they’d make her.
So for the first time all she wanted to be was a COWARD who didn’t have the power to muster any courage.
