The government of nitish kumar in Bihar introduced a cycle scheme called Mukjayamantri Balika cycle Yojana for girl student in 2006 -07 .This scheme has been highly successful in reducing gender inequality in secondary education .It has also been adopted in six Africans countries including zambai where it has achieved postive results . On May 23 Professor of NOtheastern university Boston USA who conducted a study in Zambai a year after the model was introduced there in 2015 -16 said the results were remarkable in drawing girls to education and promoting in the society .
Prakash , while ago delivered a lecture on the “WHEELS TO CHANGE ” transformation girls lives with bicycles which was organised by the Asian Development Research Instituete ( ADRI) , a PAtna based think – tank said that The absenteeism of girls in schools was reduced to 27% late arrivals by 66% and average communting time to schools by 35 % . The girls was now feel in control of their own lives and they could aspire to higher things with a much better self image was constructed and seired to delay marriage and pregnancy to an optimal age was also induced in them .
