A few years ago India banned Pakistani artists from working in India. This includes banning actors from acting in Bollywood movies. It was more like prohibiting the expression of the art rather than showing their hate toward a particular nation. This banning showed people the ego that is filled in the Indian government.
With their contributions to the Indian cinema business, well-known actors like Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Mahira Khan, and others have captured our hearts.
To remind you, the devastating URI assault in 2016 resulted in a ban on Pakistani musicians from operating in India. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena implemented the said ban after observing the hostility between the two nations.
According to me this ban towards the artists working in the country was not required as most citizens of the country were enjoying their work and it was a ban towards the art form rather than a particular country.
