Do You Have Clarity In Your Thoughts?

Do you have clarity in what you think and understand?

What do I mean with “Clarity”? Clarity is the lack of opaqueness in your thoughts. If your thoughts end up at a single statement, you need clarity. If you easily believe what the next person says, you need clarity. If you agree to everything very easily, clarity is required. If you feel that you know everything, you need clarity. If you feel congested while thinking due to lack of knowledge, you still need clarity. Follow this article to the end to understand how to build “Clarity”.

We suffer due to lack of clarity when we misconstrue things by putting veils of opaque “flowery words/ technical jargons” upon them. This is where the problem begins. You understand things technically on ideological grounds and expect them to function in the same uniform way. Ideologies, technical jargons and other such words are often thought to function the same way as they mean. For example, you believe a school to be a school meant only for studies and no fun. While this might look like an attractive utopia, to our disappointment it’s far from being true. Humans easily “Don” veils of flashy words on various things and expect them to function in the same way; but they don’t!

Thinking very highly of a school or college because it’s reputed, holding the government in an extremely high regard, believing in a brand to be the best one, etc are symptoms of being trapped in the trap of lack of clarity.

What basically goes wrong here is : words are uniform, humans can never be!

Words are straight lines. Humans are a mess (let alone being a line). Words are even. Humans are uneven.

A human has innumerable attributes attached to him/her since birth. We are a dense concoction of feelings, emotions, knowledge, skills, hatred, love and everything on earth your nerves can dare to imagine!

Why did I suddenly jump from words to humans?

Well, a language is ultimately a product of a society. A society is again a group of humans. Humans with countless number of wishes and thoughts.

*Even* words fall short of describing *Uneven* humans. When we call a university *a university* we are ultimately addressing a group of humans. When we call a corporate*a corporate* we are addressing a group of human employees. When we call an industry*an industry*, we are referring to a cluster of people doing similar jobs.

Dictionary meanings do not work in the real world. Understanding the human angle in everything is the first step towards gaining clarity.

Human life is a contradiction in itself. We want to study and prosper but we also want to watch reels on Instagram and avoid studying while still wanting to leave the habit of watching reels!

Similarly, human organisations too are living in contradiction. Employees want to work hard and earn but also want to avoid work and chill and party at the same time. All while having the guilt of not working lingering in their heads. The same thing applies everywhere.

Therefore, expecting a student to only study 24*7 is a signal that the person is missing clarity.

People say that expectations are the root of misery. I disagree. I believe that wrong expectations are the root of misery. Once you know what to expect from the next person you become learned.

People learn this with experience when their fates really collide with unpleasant humans followed with a dejection and then a learning lesson. On the lines of logic, it can be deduced in your head while sitting at home.

Thinking with clarity requires you to break down fundamentals and go on deducing over possibilities. Expect every officer to be a human, not a machine. Expect the same from highest of the authorities. Setting your expectations right, avoids disheartening events in the future. You become wise too!

The world is so simple to learn. Those who sit in classrooms complicate it to an extent that it distorts your vision by putting opaque blocks to mislead your curiosity.
